Since last night, it seemed like I was in a battle field. The war in Afghanistan. Sounds of bomb and machine guns filled in the air. But I slept thru the nite peacefully coz I know it was an open fire of fireworks and crackers. It was a mark of Chinese New Year Eve.
Most of my friends and colleagues are enjoying their CNY holidays out of Johor. Well...enjoy peeps. As for me, spending my hols at home, at the kitchen most of the time when my 'orang bujang' are here. Trying out a few recipies but hahahaa....didn't turn out the way they should be. Down at first. But my hubby was so sweet, lifting up my bruised ego with his everlasting compliments.
Bila kek karamelku tak menjadi...aduhhh macam nak nangis. Tapi apa kata hubbyku...biasalah tu bila kita mencuba sesuatu yang baru. Bukan terus menjadi. Tapi rasa kek ni cukup sedap dah, cuma rupanya aje. Macam kita pakai baju, ada hari cantik baju kita...ada hari kurang menarik baju kita tapi masih tetap kelihatan manis...
The last resipi, Lasagna, hidangan Itali yang digemari anak perempuanku. Pertama kali dia makan bila ibu kawannya bawa lasagna ke rumah bujang mereka. Hari ini dia suruh ibu ni pulak buat. Ibu ni tak pernah buat dan tak pernah makan. Macam mana nak buat ya? So bukalah buku-buku lama yang tersimpan dalam almari. Hah...jumpa jugak akhirnya!
Eventhough taklah menjadi seperti dalam buku tu tapi ahli keluarga masih suka. They asked to upgrade here and there. Maklum je memasing duk overseas. Biasa makan. But with first try ni pun, taste Lasagna tu ada. So it's worth trying. To become an expert, off course it starts with the first step. First try and go through failing and do it again and again. Never give up and let failure be our teacher.
Till then...enjoy your hols peeps. See ya this Monday.
